Apa pendapat saudara tentang ‘kebijaksanaan’ KJ dalam mengkucarkacirkan Pakatan Rakyat dengan isu Hudud semasa debat bersama Husam Musa ?
Tau saudara sensitif sikit kalau sebut KJ, tapi saya nak jolok juga sarang tebuan š
JMD : Alahai… Khairy Khairy… sememangnya saya cukup getik melihat gelagatnya š I was not in Malaysia during that ‘Wacana Minda’ which had turned into a no holds barred debate between two Malay leaders.
Therefore I may not be able to fully analyse the situation. Partly because I am concentrating on a more pertinent issue that is affecting the nation than to really focus on something (a debate) which was only discussing on issues that had been discussed and argued ever since 1951 (when PAS was established).
What is there concerning this Hudud that had not been discussed before? This is just a publicity stunt for both leaders.
The main issue now is the streamlining of the education system to ensure national integration among the people.. Khairy should have discussed this (wait a minute, Khairy never commented on this issue. Mainly because he does not have the courage and the wisdom to discuss it).
And what is this I heard that Khairy does not oppose the implementation of Hudud laws and he will push for it if he wins the Umno Youth leadership? If this is true, then the debate was actually a campaign for him (he should be brought up tp the disciplinary board) and also a disaster for him and Umno personally as that will put them in a spot.
In the first place, Khairy was trapped by Husam when the latter asked him his stand about Hudud. Being the unwise leader that he is, he hastily answered according to the response of the audience. He was buoyed by the audience and the audience was filled mostly with PAS supporters. Playing to the gallery is no longer the domain of Anwar Ibrahim. He should have remained steadfast with the ideology of Umno and that Umno had successfully made Malaysia one of the strongest Islamic country in the OIC and been internationally (especially from the Arab nations) recognised as a successful and progressive Islamic nation of modern times without even the direct help from PAS.
Secondly, this shows the knee jerk reaction of a leader and thirdly, if we delve deeper, will show the hypocrisy in him. I say this with certain conviction that socially, Khairy the man does not conform to the notion and essence of Hudud laws. What more since his own wife, Nori is a member of Sisters In Islam who are the main opponent of implementation of Hudud laws here in Malaysia.
Actually, in hindsight, PAS should just dissolve their party and join Umno since we all know now that Khairy will implement Hudud laws soon after he wins the Umno Youth leadership š

The Arabs and the Persians seriously need to settle their differences amicably. Their fight must be directed towards the Israelis and not against one another.

It has been a terrible year. We end it with the passing of a royalty, and the Gazza assault, hardly a month from Mumbai bombing. My condolences to the victims of the attack, and the family of Negeri Sembilan royalty.
Things doesn’t look rosy next year either, especially the economy.
In midst of it all, I hope there will be growing concern for love, peace and tolerance.
Oh well, sorry for the sad note. Here’s wishing you a Happy New Year, Jebat. Again, I thank you for the sharing of knowledge and understanding that have much enlightened me. Take it easy.

“Khairy launched another attack on Husam when he asked whether hudud law would be implemented if Pakatan Rakyat had taken over the Government on Sept 16.
Husam gave an assurance that hudud law would be implemented if they had taken over.
Associate Prof Mohd Agus added fuel to the already hot topic and asked Khairy if he would push for hudud law if he became the Umno Youth chief.
Khairy smilingly replied that he would, which resulted in shouts among PAS supporters in the hall.”

Dengan hormatnya kami ingin merujuk kepada laporan Malaysiakini bertarikh 23 Disember bertajuk “Khairy: Husam Longlai Digertak DAP Isu Hudud”.
Izinkan saya menjelaskan kenyataan sebenar Khairy Jamaluddin Abu Bakar yang merujuk kepada hukum hudud dalam Wacana Perdana: Transformasi Politik Malaysia di Kota Bharu pada Sabtu lalu, 20 Disember 2008.
Kami dapati terdapat kesilapan dalam laporan sesetengah pihak termasuk Malaysiakini sendiri.
Kami petik laporan tuan:
“Khairy, calon ketua Pemuda Umno, juga dilaporkan bersetuju untuk melaksanakan hudud dalam perdebatan tersebut tetapi cepat-cepat menafikan pernah berkata demikian semalam”.
Pada hakikatnya apabila ditanya oleh moderator wacana tersebut, Prof Madya Dr Mohammad Agus Yusoff, mengenai pendirian beliau mengenai hudud dalam wacana perdana itu, Khairy dengan jelas dan nyata menegaskan seperti yang berikut:
“Secara jelas kita meneruskan apa yang ada. Itu dasar Kerajaan Barisan Nasional”.
Saya berharap pihak tuan dapat menyiarkan penjelasan ini dengan secepat mungkin agar kekeliruan yang telah timbul dapat diperbetulkan.
