  3. Malays have always been neither here nor there. Physically, we are inferior. which means that we cant be slaves like the blacks. We are not big, our skin cant withstand heat. In the brain’s department, we were and still are lagging. We dont have history like the thai’s that were never conquered or like the indon’s or viet-cong’s who won major wars. We lack physicality, we lack brain power and we lack history. And to top it of, we are not producing anything of significance till this very day. The only footnote the malays would have left is a guy named Mahathir. That’s about it. You can take the malay out of the kampung but the kampung will never be taken out of the malay. Just look at the local dramas and you’ll get my drift

    • Jimss, you see, history should not be read literally. More than that, it should be studied thoroughly encompassing other fields of sciences. Thus to sum of all things up with mere sentences is a hasty judgment.

Just because it was written scarcely here and there, it doesnt mean that there isnt anything worth mention about this country. The Malays used to scare the chinese long time ago with a Jong, so let’s not talk about history to address current predicament surrounding this country.

      • What other field of sciences do you propose? Im for one wanting to see the truth for what it really is and move from there and what i see is, my race, is a bunch of never-beens, not even has beens. Empire of malacca? Yeah right.

I beg to differ. History is playing a role. It will always play a loop and those that discount history in analysing the present is bound to be taking a step forward and two steps back.

        • That’s where you got it inaccurate reflections of history, as what has been proposed by historians. All you know is that malacca has always been the pioneer of malay civilisation when in fact long before malacca, the malay rooted back to years before BC, years before srivijaya, palembang or even langkasuka kingdom.

History cant be extensively revealed a true state of an event unless other contributory factors are embedded in. For instance, the reasons for existent of palembang and srivijaya were primarily due to the perpetual war waged by northerner. But why do srivijaya after a few decades managed to repulse the same branch of people attacking its kingdom. Did history accounted tribal agreement penned down by major tribes in nusantara that is to be united against foreign power? Did history ever studied the psychological aspects, sosio and economic development of the region, diplomatic relationship between warring states, international business and trade etc in particular regions?

Just because you aint find anything worth mentioning, doesnt means there is not one thing worth mentioning. As I said, you should read and dig more. There is a reason why sunda plateau drop under the sea thousand of years ago. Anyway, this JMD blog is not about history, in actual fact it is more about future.

        • Sorry jimss, I went on to comment your post but it didnt go through and I went on as lazy as it could be on this long leave holiday. As with other fields of science, well you have to start the reading, indulge in it and see it from other aspect of human behavior, diplomatic relationship between warring states, strategic geographical mass emigration from the north and west, as well trade and business development in the region.

FYI, malacca wasnt the first civilization, its just a consequence of perpetual war on its predecessor i.e. majapahit, srivijaya, langkasuka, Funan and score of others which existed decades before BC.

  6. Countdown to New Year, the future looks brim, bleak, blur and dim, (Agama Wang, Cash is King), the Malaysian experience.

Indeed, the digital economic has pointed to success. As someone remarks, what good of economic growth (indexs) while the people are living approaching misery.

In reference to urban poverty where people live with many deprivation; limited access to employment opportunities, low income, long hours, insecure housing and services, violent and unhealthy environments and endless more.

Currently, we could not escape from the declining economic stagnation and dubious politics by leadership. Somehow we are sucked into the social web of discomposures.

We can’t bout the economic pressure against our livelihood. Our daily bread and butter issues are getting expensive and unaffordable.

Further, the cost of living, doing business and our basic needs are skyrocketing while earnings can’t accommodate. We could feel the economic pinch daily. The intake of incomes for the real people is declining and getting smaller.

Jobs are getting scared. It becomes worst to those families who are already out of employment. As reported, thousands and more workers would be jobless. The number of retrenched workers are in the raising.

It looks as though the situation is not going to change for betterment. Now we can categorized ourselves as the real economic bummers sucked into a midst of political misfits.

The other key front, political situation is also ambiguous. Options were not taken to mend the situation because of one’s realpolitik. Available solutions for reconciliation were in denial of stability.

Our political situation is severely in disarray reflected then added by leadership of 1MDB’s creation. This problematic fixture with its heavy weight of climacteric politics has caused our harmonious environment into political damnation, especially with the Umno congregation.

The source of this problem is because of one man’s leadership. He is the Prime Minister, the leadership of realpolitik, the destabilizer, the used of power rather than the policy of people needs, ideals and inspirations.

The situation is no illusion but is real and being felt nationwide. Furthermore it has tormented us while in the making.

His leadership has summoned this Nation to misfortune economically, socially which has infringed the sovereignty of the democratic State affairs.

Many of us have realized it and many more to realize it too. What it means, we are in the political, economics and psychological depression because of this One Man, currently whom so-called they love and adore.

    Happy New Year.
