One of the main provocateurs of Malaysian politics, who would provoke people and then play innocent – Lim Kit Siang has crossed the Rubicon and disrespecting one of the muslims’ rites which is the Friday sermon. Lim Kit Siang had lambasted a friday sermon which had mentioned a verse of the Quran, as the causes of public disharmony between races.
The Quranic verse (Al Baqarah: 120) said;
And never will the Jews or the Christians approve of you until you follow their religion. Say, “Indeed, the guidance of Allah is the [only] guidance.” If you were to follow their desires after what has come to you of knowledge, you would have against Allah no protector or helper.

Orang-orang Yahudi dan Nasrani tidak sekali-kali akan bersetuju atau suka kepadamu (wahai Muhammad) sehingga engkau menurut ugama mereka (yang telah terpesong itu). Katakanlah (kepada mereka): “Sesungguhnya petunjuk Allah (ugama Islam itulah petunjuk yang benar”. Dan demi sesungguhnya jika engkau menurut kehendak hawa nafsu mereka sesudah datangnya (wahyu yang memberi) pengetahuan kepadamu (tentang kebenaran), maka tiadalah engkau akan peroleh dari Allah (sesuatupun) yang dapat mengawal dan memberi pertolongan kepada mu.
In the context of Malaysia, this verse has been read and known by muslims for hundreds of years and it has been mentioned in friday sermons in Malaysia for decades. And since independence, there was no problem among the muslims to live and accept people of other religions to co-exist with them. Muslims do not care much about how the Christians, buddhists, hindus lead their lives. Unless if Islam is transgressed and attacked, muslims are ever so ready to live other religions in peace.
We are not sure what religion Lim Kit Siang profess but the fact that he suddenly attacked a Quranic verse and said that it is the sole cause of racial and religious friction will certainly provoke some emotions by the muslims. And just like Teresa Kok, there is no doubt that Lim Kit Siang will play victim if people begin to chastise him.
Hannah Yeoh and Teresa Kok, we hear them as devout Christians, must now tell Lim Kit Siang to keep his mouth shut otherwise sensitivities will be infringed and emotions will run high. And now we have a
PKR leader scolding JAKIM for the friday sermon. Darrell Leiking wants JAKIM to prove that indeed Christians want muslims to embrace Christianity (according to the verse). It is as if Darrell is personally slighted by the verse.

Christian leaders of this country must not insult other people’s religion this way. When you begin to question other people’s beliefs and worse, trying to degrade them as the source of disunity (when it is not), then be prepared to be questioned on your own beliefs. For so many years all Malaysian live peacefully, no religious conflicts between us. We respect each other faiths and avoid to make statement which might hurts people feeling. Yes, come across some small incident but only at ground level, is easy to put it down. But now thing are getting “super hot” once politicians and head of other religion try to critics other religion openly.

In the absent of preventive laws, extremism reigns supreme. It happened the moment you get rid of the very law that can protect religious harmony and the position of Islam. Dr. M said Islam is under serious threat. He is damn right. Islam is indeed under threat in this country and we all know it.
They are now bold enough to make fun of the weekly Friday sermon. A sermon meant only for Muslims on Friday afternoon had became their news item worthy of lampooning and ridicule. It has never happened before and it is happening now. Those people have never run out of ideas how to inflame the Muslims. They’re now doing it on a constant basis and doing it with impunity. And they’re not that subtle anymore. This growing assertiveness and vocal in the challenging of Islam in tandems with their growing political clouts and influence. After all, laws that could prevent this to happen are no longer there anymore. They can do whatever they like now.

“Islam is indeed under threat in this country” –
We cannot allow it to be so. We must fight back. According to the laws. There are so many laws, including the preventive ones. Right from the highest set of laws in the country – the Constitution – from which other laws are enacted, like for the administration of Islam, pursuant to Article 3.
Where the authorities are not taking action, we urge them to do so. Where they continue to play deaf, we shout. Where they still keep quiet, we may resort to peaceful assemblies. But be sure to follow the laws all the way. Give the required 10 days notice, follow the direction of the Police as to where to assemble, etc.
Don’t fight the authorities like Anwar Al Juburi does. And DAP and the Pakatoons do. After all, our intention must be only in asking the authorities to take action. For example, under the Sedition Act. The definition of sedition is very broad. It surely covers a wide range of acts and utterances against Islam, the religion of this country.

And the renown translator, interpreter and commentator of the Qur’an, the Lecturer in Greek Studies, Abdullah Yusuf Ali, with over a thousand pages of commentaries on the Qur’an – which include comments that compare Islam to other religions – did say that Jesus’ teachings were not well received, until a Jew named Saul (now recorded as Paul) picked them up and started propagated them.
And that the Fourth or Fifth Pope was, as the caption above says: gangster, war mongering, greedy, a criminal who ran sex orgies.

Abdulah Yusuf Ali’s works have been published since the 1930s and have become highly regarded. Copies of the Qura’n complete with translation, interpretation and commentaries given away free to those interested by the Saudi Arabia Embassy in KL may be based on Abdullah Yusuf Ali’s works.
He spent years in Europe studying translations of the Qur’an in Europen languages, including in Latin by monks in a East European monastery, meant for the Pope who was intrigued with the speedy spread of the religion until it reached Spain through the Mediterranean Arab coastal states, and to Eastern Europe via Turkey. Islam had a glorious 500 years of advancement when it led the world in mathematics, science, astrology, etc, with its centre in Baghdad, until it was ransacked by the ravaging Mongols from the East.
The Christians came to the Middle avenge the Muslim conquests in Europe under a crusade led by the Knights of the Round Table, etc. The Christians under Roman Emperor Titus whacked the Jews in Jerusalem in AD 90, burning the Jewsih temple to the ground, on which the Muslims later built the Al Aqsa Mosque from which Prophet Muhammad ascended to Heaven. They walloped the Jews again later, during Emperor Hadrian’s rule.
So, Hannah Yeoh and Teresa Kok should also tell the often seditious and subversive Lim Kit Siang (he was detained under ISA for a few years once) to read his History, and start liking history – and not oppose History being made compulsory in schools in this country. Maybe they could tell him to read the translation, interpretation and commentaries on the Qur’an by Abdullah Yusuf Ali. Then perhaps we can expect some decency out of the man.

Good that you are trying the high moral ground. Fine. We find ways to unite, to solve our differences. But the Christians and others must do the same.
So, what do we do when Lim Kit Siang baling batu and sembunyi tangan or say he didn’t do it? For the race riots of 1969, he was said to be In Sabah on the day the riots broke. But one reads about he being seen in KL that day. In any case, he was leader of DAP and DAP members and ardent supporters were among those in the processions that led to the riots erupting.
We must avoid another 13 May race riots. But we also cannot tolerate the kind of behaviour that led to the 1969 race riots. So, let’s keep urging the authorities to charge the blokes responsible for creating racial and religious ill feelings under the Sedition Act, like was done to Karpal Singh for not respecting the role and the prerogative of the Sultan.

The religion of islam is indeed based on jewish and christian customs. This include building of houses of worship, weekly congregation and a religious elite based on priesthood. Prophet Mohamed, who was a mere messenger, in his last days stated that he had failed to make the arab understand what his mesages was about. Mohamed warned the arabs about the evil or religion and gave examples, i.e. pharoah, the jews, the christians, parents of abraham ( worship the sun), but the arabs created another religion. To strengthen this, they created hadith.
We were told not to associate anything with God. But today,we have god’s religion, god’s holy book(Quran itself was printed after the death of prophet Mohamed so he cannot verify if everything is genuine), god’s house in mecca. So please don’t anyhow simply follow blindly or you have been warned. For if you do not use your brains, the punishment will be severe. Seek God for guidance, not your priest or tok guru. And may you live a blissful life in this world and the next.

i remember reading a comment by an apostate muslim lady lamenting about her tough life as a muslim. she wrote; in islam it’s OBEY! but in christianity it’s CHOOSE [meaning you are free to choose whether to follow your religion’s commands or just to ignore} ! don’t you think that this is the teaching of a fake religion? you are free not to obey the commands of the being you consider god? No sin, no punishment, all christians will go to heaven just by believing jesus as son of goat, sorry, god and believe he is their saviour. Christianity is also the only religion still unsettled and confused, despite been in existence for over 15 centuries. They can’t eve decide who god is. The ones who may turn Christian are like those 12 poor souls that the Damansara Utama Methodist Church tried to lure by inviting them to berbuaka puasa in a Church that MB Khalid Ibrahim made a mockery of the system prevailing in the country for dealing with that sort of nonsense – he apologized to DUMC pastor for the JAIS raid etc.

CRUSADE there may not be, these days of the 21st Century. But irritants, religious bigotry, one upmanship, nasty flock expansion intention and execution – these are the the present day modus operandi. These may be big sounding words but are intended to be pushed down the throat of the guilty parties.
The evangelical in the US even resort to demagoguery, trying to attract followers and supporters to their cause. And in many cases, it serves the Church leaders’ personal causes – they use the church donations to live on, and live comfortably they do, in good houses, luxury cars, etc. After all, in history, the Pope, amassed huge fortunes and, as one photo JMD shows above, even sits on a gold chair.
And in Malaysia, even a gay fellow started a Church – despite Catholicism, the original Christian version, prohibiting main belakang. And the bloke even announced to the public his going to meet his boyfriend in New York and to marry him in California. Maybe he wanted the Anwar Al Juburi kind to join his congregation.
O ye, Lim Kit Siang, thou should be making noise on the Al Juburi kind, not on the Friday sermon. The former will gain thee the silent support of the Catholics who prohibit sodomy, the latter will get you crossed by the Muslims, the majority in this country.
