Tunku Aziz’s parting shots

I take great interest in what Tunku Aziz had to say in The Star today.

I think there are many pertinent points raised by Tunku Aziz in that interview which had confirmed or validated whatever some bloggers, including yours truly about Lim Guan Eng’s administration of DAP politics as well as Pakatan Rakyat in general.

Some of the points are as follows:

No one called you saying Tunku, please don’t go on air?

I wanted it to be a dignified exit, and to be fair. Because I am not against the party, I am not against the party at all. I am just against the attitude adopted by the secretary-general. Particularly when he first got in touch with me, it was to accuse me of going against the party position. Which was to support Bersih.

I at no time had withdrawn my support for Bersih. I have always supported Bersih for what Bersih stands for. I’ve spoken for free and fair elections on several occasions. Not as vice-chairman of DAP but in my other capacities. So to say that Tunku is opposed to Bersih is something that the party and Pakatan Rakyat had been working hard to promote, is a little disingenuous.

And somehow it smacks of a reluctance or inability to see the difference between supporting free and fair election activity, and not supporting these activities if they were illegal. There is that distinction which I think they purposely ignored, because Lim Guan Eng, in his rebuke, was rebuking me for something I hadn’t done.

Are you bitter about it, four years later having to resign from the party?

I think I was a little naive in thinking that the ideals that I had would be in fact the ideals that DAP actually practised. I don’t know about the other political parties but I expect they would be much the same.

As a man who has always been fighting against things that are unethical, would you say DAP as a party was ethical after four years of being inside?

I wouldn’t say so. Well, for example… one of the key party members set up the Rocket Cafe in Petaling Jaya, and this was done without Council approval being obtained. And when other members of the party raised this, it was just pushed under the rug and no action was taken. To me, this is not on.

Because Pakatan Rakyat is the government of Selangor and DAP controls in terms of its numbers the local councils within Selangor, PJ, and what have you.

Although people say “oh, it is a small matter”, to me, it is an important fundamental issue because you have broken your own by-laws. And if you are cavalier in your attitude to the law that you have made then, to me, it shows very sad state of affairs and bad judgment.

(Typical of Pakatan Rakyat that flouts the law even their own. There are many instances that this has happened)

Did you raise the issue?

I raised the issue, but you could see that it was not something they were comfortable with. And if you see recently Dr Cheah’s reports in The Star (Damansara Utama assemblyman Dr Cheah Wing Yin), this is the same kind of issue.

There are good people within DAP who want to see that we do things in an ethical manner, but there are others who you know will just go ahead in breaking their own rules. If you do this, sooner or later people are going to ask, can these people really be trusted with a bigger job?

(The story of Dr Cheah lambasting DAP’s leadership in Selangor can be read HERE. Those that will go ahead breaking rules are so happened to be in DAP’s top leadership themselves. Within Pakatan Rakyat leadership however, this is already the norm)

There is no glass half-full for integrity.

You either have it or you don’t have it. For example, when the council decides to take action against illegal hawkers, one of our key figures would intervene to say don’t touch these people; don’t take any action because they are party supporters. To me, this is an act that is tantamount to interfering, serious interference in the operating system and the administration of local government.

Many of our people forget that local government is where the public first experiences dealing with the government. Many of them will never have to deal with Putrajaya or any of the ministries, but for the average person like you or me living in particular district or area, it’s all local government.

Here’s a very unfair question. Is Guan Eng disappointment as a leader? You obviously have great admiration for his father.

The son is a different kettle of fish. I don’t want to get personal. He is a good leader, apart from other qualities. Leaders must be good listeners, this is from my observation.

So is he a good listener?

By my reckoning, he should learn to listen more and give everybody a chance to be heard.

You have to first learn to be, I think, a little modest because it’s not for you to say how well you’re doing or how well you’ve done for Penang. Let the people of Penang decide. That is really the true measure of your achievement. When people say “well done Guan Eng”. But for you to scream your head off about CAT (a DAP slogan standing for “competency, accountability, and transparency”)? What is CAT? Cat is a slogan. But to him no. But when it comes to 1Malaysia, 1Malaysia is just a slogan. But CAT is not.

(This is very telling. For further reading on Lim Guan Eng’s self grandeur and lies, the articles can be read HERE).

Is this your last venture into politics?

Absolutely, no question there. But what really made me finally decide to leave although I was thinking very seriously about what I should do was last Sunday at about 8.43AM, I had a phone call from Guan Eng. I don’t know whether to describe it as an act of contrition or whether he felt that I needed to be compensated for the loss of the Senate seat.

He offered me – now this really staggered my imagination offered me a senior fellowship at the Penang Institute, dangling travel as one of the attractions… And I said I’d have to think about it. This was followed up yesterday, after I had made up my mind.

His aide rang me at lunchtime yesterday to repeat his boss’s offer, but added that this time there would be a stipend of RM50,000 a year, along with other things. I regard this offer as totally insulting.

Totally totally insulting, and I could only conclude that it had come from someone who had no sense and not even a modicum of respect. Did he think I was that kind of person? What an insult. You rebuked me for the wrong reason, you removed my senate position, and then you offered a fellowship at Penang Institute. This man has gone out of his senses.

This was the clincher as far as I was concerned. This man has no sense of decency, in other words.

He ignored your emails, he insulted you… And I guess as a man of ethics and integrity, this Penang Institute sounded like a bribe.

It’s a bribe, it’s a salve for my hurt pride. To me, as a senior person… I’m trying to find an English word for this behaviour, and I cant. The only word is a Malay word, and it’s “biadap”. I mean, that’s what really made me decide I will not work with this man. I am prepared to be rebuked, but the reason for the rebuke must be made very clear, you know.

Is Guan Eng under pressure from Anwar because they are close to winning Putrajaya?

I can’t really be 100% certain, but one never knows. For them, it’s political expediency. It doesn’t matter because I don’t think they’d give two hoots about anything or anybody who stands in their way. Asking too (many) questions, raising issues, and so on.

(Dictatorial tendencies are really the epitome of Pakatan Rakyat politics).

So how do you feel?

I feel liberated from the tyranny of demagogy. It’s a blessed relief, I received so many wonderful messages of encouragement from people like Koh Tsu Koon, the president of the Senate, many others.

Nine people came to see me, we sat down and had a drink together. These people they have tried to, well, transform DAP at their level. They find there is so much cronyism, so many cliques. You don’t belong to the leadership clique, you’re out, You make an unfavourable comment, you’re out. I suppose no party is free from all this.

Chow (Chow Kon Yeow), head of DAP Penang, sent message saying I respect your decision. He should have been Chief Minister yet they parachuted Guan Eng in. He’s CM, Sec-Gen, MP.

(Who said in Pakatan Rakyat there is no cronyism, nepotism, corruption etc?)

So were the coalition in support of Bersih? Had they made it known?

I think they had, all the top boys. All the three parties, it was generally accepted that we were behind it. Sending out messages on Twitter and this and that, getting people to come.

I support Bersih objectives, as long as they don’t cross the police line. My instinct told me that this was not going to end peacefully, from experience, stories, reports you have read from other parts of the world. All demonstrations particularly street demos start off peacefully but the average rate of success where they end peacefully is very small.

(Tunku Aziz just revealed that Pakatan Rakyat is behind BERSIH. What excuses will BERSIH supporters use now? The rally on 28th Apriul 2012 wasn’t hijacked during that afternoon. In fact it was masterminded by Pakatan Rakyat. Ambiga is just a mere puppet).

This interview came about because Tunku Aziz did not favour the illegal activities which are being promoted and administered by Pakatan Rakyat and its vehicle – BERSIH 3.0. I believe Tunku Aziz has valid reasons and those reasons are similar to those who oppose unruly type behaviours, anarchy, blatant disregard of the laws and gangsterism which are the characteristics of Bersih and other Pakatan Rakyat sponsored activities such as the Occupy Dataran and Mansuhkan PTPTN movements.

To understand how most of us perceive all these illegal activities, here is a video to be shared with all Malaysians.

Malaysia, a peaceful country where its citizens have always abide by its laws are currently being run down by mindless and hateful people who have no qualms in tarnishing this nation’s image and breaking its law just to justify their sick agenda.

An agenda so sick that even a professional body like the Bar council is being hijacked by political wannabes or lawyers who are trying to bypass some ground rules in the law profession by advertising their names so that they can be famous and gain more clients in return.

No wonder, one of its members – Ranjit Singh Dillon was peeved and gave Bar Council the spanking it deserved –

It is also time Bar Council change its name to Legal Department of Pakatan Rakyat.

Thank you.

  1. Report to SPRM for the bribery thing. An MCA or Gerakan chap should do it.

Exemplary English command by Tun, I must say.

Wonder if MCA and Gerakan buggers would attack DAP now. Don’t count on UMNO cybertroopers to do this bit for you. Move your asses lah!

    • I’ve read a few MCA fellows attacking DAP on this. More needs be done. By Gerakan people, too. At the same time we need to continue exploiting this situation. Like DAP, Bar Council members, PKR and PAS exploit each and every situation they can find. The objective must be to get them to respect the laws. All Malaysians must live within the bounds of the law.

Now Tunku Abdul Aziz has called on Malaysians to support the leadership of Datuk Seri Najib. He asked them to give Najib the chance and time to see his transformation programmes bear fruit. He said so in an interview with Bernama yesterday.

He chided those who talk about Bersih 4.0. “.. what else do they want?” he asked. He said there were those in the demonstration who “have other agenda…to create a riot.” He has the same thinking as DS Najib and Tun Dr Mahathir as far as that is concerned.

Tunku Aziz also thought that opposition political parties hijacked the aims of a non-governmental organisation to create a riot. There his thinking is the same as the vast majority of concerned citizens in this country.

Tunku Aziz made it clear his decision to leave DAP was final. DAP’s loss is BN’s gain. Even if he is not a member of any BN component party.

He said he would take a long rest, switch off his telephone and spend time breeding ornamental fish. I hope he won’t give any to Lim Guan Eng, even if the fellow turns up at his door steps and stoops on his knees begging for one or two! He’ll probably eat the ornamental fish if he gets any! Swallow them whole!

Showing bottoms means strong dislike of the person to whom they are shown, lah. Like the Arabs throwing slippers to George W Bush lah. You don know ah? It’s culture, not sex, man. But then, biadap fellas sure don know culture one.

          MI reports :

A group of anti-Bersih traders will hold a “Bersih 4.0” gathering next month as part of an on-going protest to demand compensation for alleged losses incurred during the April 28 rally in the city capital.

About 60-odd traders clad in “Bersih 4.0” t-shirts cancelled their plans today to set up stalls in front of Datuk Ambiga Sreenevasan’s residence, saying the upcoming June 23 gathering to be held at Stadium Bukit Jalil will be used to push their “message of peace” and rejection of “Bersih 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0.”

“We will carry on our struggle with having a Bersih 4.0 gathering in Stadium Bukit Jalil.

“150,000 or more people are expected to attend,” a representative of the traders, Datuk Jamal Md Yunos, told reporters.

Anwar Ibrahim to be charged over Bersih rally

PETALING JAYA (THE STAR/ASIA NEWS NETWORK) – PKR leaders Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Azmin Ali are expected to be charged on Tuesday in relation to the Bersih rally on April 28.

The PKR de facto leader and the PKR deputy president are expected to be charged for breaching the court order barring the public from entering Dataran Merdeka that day.

The duo are the first persons to be charged under the new Peaceful Assembly Act. According to a writ of summons served to Mr Azmin, he is accused of violating Section 188, 109 and 34 of the Penal Code.

Section 188 refers to ‘disobedience to an order duly promulgated by a public servant’, while Section 109 and Section 34 are on abetting and incitement.

        xxxxx

I had hoped that they’d be charged for inciting people to riot. The word incitement is in the charge though don’t know what. Whatever lah, so long as they are charged. And I hope the charge sticks. And they’d be imprisoned. 6-12 months enough lah.

Then I hope Ambiga and some of the Malaysian Bar members who actively participated in Bersih 3.0 be arrested and charged, too. And the Baju Merah blokes.

PS: Hope this breaking news story will not turn out to be untrue in any way. I note the words “expected to be charged” in the news report.

        • His lawyer Sivarasa Rasiah has confirmed the story. He told AFP.Anwar will be charged in a Kuala Lumpur court on Tuesday, “Yes Anwar will be charged in court tomorrow. He faces two charges .. One under the new controversial Peaceful Assembly Act for taking part in a street protest, and one for breaching the court order.”

Sivarasa said that if found guilty of violating the new Peaceful Assembly Act, Anwar could be fined 10,000 ringgit ($3,200) and disqualified from running for elections for five years.
If so, rugi lah, no prison sentence. But breaking the Court Order maybe got prison sentence. It’s a serious criminal offence, I think.

Election Commission deputy chairman confirmed the disqualification to AFP, but added that Anwar would be allowed to run while appealing any potential guilty verdict. I wish he’s disqualified for life.

But Anwar’s lawyers and a top Election Commission official have confirmed that although a conviction would strip the opposition leader of his eligibility to stand for election, he could stand when he appeals. Then what the hell is he talking about removing him from politics?

He’s such a demagogue, isn’t he? Trying to play to the public sentiment. But the public has not been sentimental about him – Pakatan Rakyat was not even formed when the political tsunami occurred in 2008. His katak lompat coup d’etat attempt failed, his Sodomy I record (sodomy confirmed) and the Sodomy II case (appeal pending hearing) do not endear him to the public.

Putrajaya sues Bersih 2.0 over April 28 rally
        The Malaysian Insider – ‎1 hour ago‎

KUALA LUMPUR, May 23 – The federal government is suing the steering committee of Bersih 2.0 for alleged damages amounting to RM122,000 that were incurred during the April 28 rally organised by the electoral reform movement.

Was Lim Guan Eng at Bersih 2.0? Maybe biadap belom kuat that time?

        • That’s why lah, when Tunku Aziz said they should not be encouraging breaking the law, they should have heeded what the wise man said.

Now they have identified 10 persons in the Bersih 2 Steering Committee that steered Bersih 3. That’s RM12,200 each. What Return on Investment or ROI is that, I wonder.

But Ambiga should not have a problem with that. Because when talking about permit before the Bersih 2 rally last time, she was said to have several bank accounts one of which was with a bank in which an Opposition member was a share holder. Was it money from abroad remitted to that account?

But under “joint and several” responsibility, any one of the 10 may have to pay the whole RM122,000. Maybe Ambiga no problem, but what about the others? Of course lah, they’ll fight it until the highest court of the land, they got 80 lawyers as rally observers and what not. Let them spend the time in court on Bersih issues lah. Keep on getting them to do it, I don’t mind, and I support such arrest and suing action. The message must be given: obey the laws, follow procedures as laid out by the Peaceful Assembly Act.

Even Tunku Aziz as Vice Chairman also got no talk summit – they just bamboozled him by saying no renewal of his Senatorship, then rebuked him, then insulted him with a bribe offer.

Remember, when you betray UMNO and the Malays, your name can be made fun of, innit?

Maybe 3-4 years also. Lim Guan Eng will treat them like he treated Tunku Aziz. It’s a natural, inborn trait, lah, Guan Eng, like his father Kit Siang. Those are their standard ways, they know no other ways. He is called “Dear Leader” now, like the North Korean communist leader.

Prof Datuk Dr Abdul Latiff Abu Bakar, Head of Media Dept, Universiti Malaya, was asked to comment on Tunku Aziz’s resignation. He said, “DAP memperjuangkan sosialime iaitu sama rata untuk semua kaum…maknanya tidak ada lagi keistimewaan orang Melayu di negara ini. Sedangkan negara ini ada orang Melayu, ada Raja-raja Melayu,”

He also said, “Orang Melayu melihat DAP sebagai pembela orang Cina, Mereka anggap DAP sebagai orang Cina chauvinis.” Although DAP started opening its doors to Malays, they were not interested, he added.

He pointed out that old generation Malays still remember the 1969 race riots. During the election victory parades and vehicle convoys, DAP members and supporters were so jubilant and arrogant, they shouted heart-wrenching words to the Malays. including telling the Malays in KL to “balik kampung”. They even showed their private parts to Policemen and their families in the Police flats on Jalan Traverse and in Brickfields, according to the report by the National Operation Council. They led to bloodshed. The Malays still remember those horrible, racist acts of the DAP. Lim Kit Siang was in charge then. He is still around. And his son Guan Eng is totally like him.

  3. All bloody good points made by the Tunku. As Tun Dr Mhathir said, I, too, never understood why he joined DAP 4 years ago. Maybe he is like Tengku A Rahman, his distant relative – assume everybody to be good until proven bad. But when that happened, too late. Lee Kuan Yew was an example. It cost us Singapore, a prized territory given away free to LKY. Damn.

Biadap is a very suitable word for Lim Guan Eng. I think the same for his father, Lim Kit Siang. Like father, like son. The ills of the father inherited by the son. Remember May 13 1969? And the kind of speeches made during the election campaigning that led to the race riots?

I think there was something in the upbringing that this family had since their ancestors came from China. Perhaps even in China itself. The “uncouth” kind. Never mind what others say so long as you they something to get what they want. Anti-Malay, anti-Islam, etc. With Tunku Aziz, it appears that Lim Guan Eng wanted to have vengeance on the old man for not towing the little Little Emperor’s line. No reason why Tunku Aziz should be allowed to go scot free with what LGE perceived as going against him and DAP. After all, even the Lion King, Karpal Singh, the party Chairman, was silenced with a Gag Order during his spat with Deputy CM Ramasamy.

I hope to God that this affair will blow hard on LGE’s face and on DAP. Agree with Garcoon Lama’s suggestion above that MCA, Gerakan and others should come out in full force now to lambast the “demagogue”, undemocratic, autocratic, unapologetic, what-have-you LGE so that he might have to disappear permanently to the attic.

May 13: Declassified Documents On The Malaysian Riots Of 1969

In the Malaysian General Elections of May 10, 1969, the largely Chinese opposition parties Democratic Action Party and Gerakan, both gained ground at the expense of the ruling Alliance coalition, which was led by the country’s largest political party, the United Malay National Organisation. Unsavoury incidents during a victory parade organised by the Opposition in the capital Kuala Lumpur prompted the coalition to hold one of its own two days later on May 13. The mix of disgruntled voters, heightened tensions, and rumours proved volatile. Two Chinese bystanders were killed, sparking fierce communal riots which pit the Chinese against the Malays. According to official figures, the unrest claimed nearly two hundred lives. Unofficial figures are considerably higher. Using recently declassified memoranda and other documents from the Public Records Office in London, Kua Kia Soong gives a fresh account of the May 13 riots from the perspective of British and other foreign intelligence and their contacts with Malaysian officials and politicians. Journalistic dispatches, which were banned in Malaysia at the time, were also consulted.

He concludes that the riots were not in fact spontaneous, but an operation carefully engineered by the emerging Malay state capitalists.

Kua Kia Soong is the founder of SUARAM, a non-government organisation that defends and promotes human rights in Malaysia and elsewhere.

        Another article:
“The NEP was launched to remedy the socio-economic inequality that led to the May 13, 1969 racial riots.”

        Well, that’s patently incorrect!

While socio-economic inequality regretably did exist, what had led to the May 13 racial riot was not that. It was true that the Malays grew disenchanted with then Prime Minister Tengku Abdul Rahman’s Perikatan (Alliance) party, resulting in massive losses for his coalition.

The true reason leading to the riots was the ruling Perikatan party, or to be more specific, its dominant component, UMNO, losing so many seats that it was on the verge of surrendering Selangor to the DAP, and very nearly losing Perak to the PPP of the Seenivasegam brothers.

That was what caused the riots!

        Another article:

Prof Dr Khoo Kay Kim, a historian and also Human Rights Commission (Suhakam) commissioner pointed out that in fact it was BN coalition member Gerakan and not DAP which had participated in the procession in Kuala Lumpur’s Kampung Baru that triggered the 1969 riots.

Now, what “Declassified Documents On The Malaysian Riots Of 1969” are you talk, Mister? What “recently declassified memoranda and other documents from the Public Records Office in London”? What precisely were they? Those old documents that previously were not even stored in steel filing cabinets of old? That were lying around on the floor or in the closet next to the toilet? That no others have found and written about until Kua Soong did? Did he tell you that they smelled rotten, too, when he found them?

Kamon la, old boy, why no say the details of the “Unsavoury incidents during a victory parade ..”? What they said, what they did, obscenities, profanities, kurang ajarities, as stated in the National Operation Council Report? You fellows deny all those ha?

Disputing official figures of deaths but no proof given is nonsense, betul ka? The “memoranda and other documents” gives “the perspective of British and other foreign intelligence and their contacts with Malaysian officials and politicians”. Why tarak bilang siapa itu orang ciakap? Surely they would have mentioned or given some indications who the “Malaysian officials and politicians” were. If the officials were Chinese or the politicians were DAP and other opposition blokes of the time, sure la got warped and blinkered opinions given, considering those in the victory parades and convoys were mainly DAP Chinese. And itu “foreign intelligence” mentioned was Mossad, the Israeli one, was it? If so, tentu lah, their sources could include Singapore fellows who were still very sore at Malaysia kicking them out of Malaysia in 1965.

Funny that you mentioned Kua Ka Soong, the fellow who tried to shift the blame for 13 May on Tun A Razak, the most ridiculous and preposterous idea that the vast majority of Malaysians (Malays constitute 60%, plus others, including Chinese and Indians in the BN) simply laugh at. Funny because he wrote that when he was in DAP but later fucxxed off DAP and cabutted from the party.

The same guy wrote a book heavily criticizing Malaysia’s defence purchases. But he launched the book in a restaurant in Edgware Road, London, of all places. Perhaps going for the commercial angle, hoping the British would buy his book, when the Malaysians wouldn’t. Funny that not even a bookstore in London was willing to host his book launching. Pathetic. Doesn’t that tell about the book content?

And what the hell is Suaram, anyway? People know about Suhakam, because they are run by people of integrity. But Suaram is run by a fellow who supports Dong Zong and the so-called “multi nations within a nation” notion spoken of by the Chairman, Yap. And during the Dong Zong Rally in Kajang recently, newspapers were abuzz with news that Yap used 2 PhD tipu, bought through the Internet. And Kua is a PhD? If so, where from, I wonder.

Obviously you have been reading the wrong history, man? Gerakan was not in the BN coalition during 13 May 1969. Dr Tan Chee Koon was Gerakan boss then. I read that he was well known for his noisy opposition until Kg Batu (his constituency) roads were not repaired, full of potholes etc, but he often put out sensible arguments and always with decorum, unlike Lim Kit Siang, Sec Gen of DAP.then.

        • On the “PhD tipu” and such matters, here’s what has been written elsewhere before:

“Ancient Chinese records aggrandized Chinese culture while at the same time denying the achievements of other cultures and races. Chinese historical documents had often been re-written, making it difficult to ascertain the truths.

The burning of the books occurred not just over 2,000 years ago during Emperor Chin Shih Huang Di, but also in the 1960s during the so-called Cultural Revolution of Mao Zedong.

Chinese history claimed China as the “Middle Kingdom”, others around them, and even far away, as “barbaric and uncivilized”.

Those thinking theirs is a higher culture and others have a lower one must read what History Professor Wang Gung-Wu (formerly of Universiti Malaya, now in Singapore?) said in his essay “Early Ming Relations with S.E.Asia” pg. 36:

“ … All peoples who believed that they alone were civilized did so because they thought their neighbours less civilized than themselves. This view was often proved wrong by subsequent contact with other civilized peoples.”

Another academician, Albert Kolb, also pointed out in his book, “East Asia”, 1971,

“For a long time, it (Chinese culture) was taken to be older, and possibly also richer in original features, than in fact it is”. (Pg 25).

“Chinese culture cannot be thought of as originally Chinese “because the Chinese themselves emerged gradually as a blend of many races and peoples”. (Pg 26).

According to Professor Wolfram Eberhard, in his book “A History of China”, 1977, writings about ancient China were inventions of a later period, what were said to have been done by the Chinese rulers and the dates they were said to have been done appeared to be even later still. All these indicated that historical writings in China were meant to serve certain politico-ethical objectives.

These are the words Professor Eberhard himself wrote:

“Furthermore, we can now state with certainty that the historical data which were given in written documents for times down to 1,000 BC are false. They are the result of astronomical-astrological calculations, made by specialists of later times who pursued their own special political aims by doing these calculations”. (Pg 1).

“Lim was arrested by the Malaysian police in 1994, following his criticism on the government’s handling of allegations of statutory rape in one of his constituents … charged under Section 4(1) (b) of the [[Sedition Act (Malaysia)|Sedition Act 1948]] for causing ‘disaffection with the administration of justice in Malaysia’. .. (despite appeals) Lim was sentenced to 18 months imprisonment.”

And the cheek of the fellas who wrote LGE’s biography in Wiki. Wiki authorities had to draw the writer(s)’ attention by saying

“This article must adhere to the policy on biographies of living persons. Contentious material about living persons that is unsourced or poorly sourced should not be inserted and if present, must be removed immediately, especially if potentially libellous. If such material is repeatedly inserted, or if there are other concerns about the biography of a living person, please report the issue to this noticeboard.”

Of course there are many contentious material in such DAP articles. Of course so many DAP guys would want to write because they don’t even have to declare who they are. You can even conceal your IP address. This box came out when I tried clicking the Edit sign:

    1. Ariff Sabri Aziz – underperformed one term Adun, divorced due to scandal with another woman, expired UMNO member.

In particular, it made reference to Anwar’s sodomy trial and sex video allegations, calling him a hypocrite and urging Malaysians to protest against the opposition leader instead. It also warned against disunity among Malays , and claimed that the DAP, backed strongly by Chinese constituents, would stand to benefit most from the rally.

  9. Quote: “The rally on 28 April 2101 wasn’t hijacked during that afternoon. In fact it was masterminded by Pakatan Rakyat. Ambiga is just a mere puppet.”

I believe it is the SAME political agenda – which is to wrest political power from the Malay-led government. They started with Anwar from within UMNO. Ummi Hafilda’s exposure of his sinful activities got him sacked from BN. He then coined the Reformasi movement.

Ezam revealed that Anwar wanted to get back into UMNO (to continue his foreign sponsors’ project). Sleepy and SIL was a continuation of the same strategy. They won 5 states and they have tasted blood.

With their KPIs not met, Ambiga becomes a convenient MASK (civil society) to further the same objectives. There were already some planted members in Bar Council to assist in this project.

Malaysian Malaysia, Middle Malaysia are alive and kicking. One key indicator is the CPF monies policy practised by Singapore. As long as this policy remains active – then their original political agenda is still being nursed – which is to make the red dot. the capital of Greater Singapore out of Tanah Melayu.

DAP already realized the Malays, plus most of the Bumiputeras of Sabah and Sarawak, absolutely detest the term “Malaysian Malaysia” coined by Lee Kuan Yew and hogged by Lim Kit Siang after LKY, PAP and Singapore were kicked out of Malaysia in 1965.

Because “Malaysian Malaysia” has been subversive to the Special Position of the Malays and the Bumiputeras of Sabah and Sarawak under Article 153 of the Constitution. In fact the slogan has played a part in the events that led to the race riots of 1969. Wanting equality without recognizing that Special Position, even questioning that Special Position, and it incurred the wrath of those affected. Not wanting the playing field leveled and all. Meaning they want to have all. Superior economic position, dominance in the field of qualified professionals (anybody knows how many of the 14,200 lawyers and Bar Council members are Chinese?), except don’t want to join the Police and the Military.

So, they have spoken less of Malaysian Malaysia for some time now. They tried to use the term Middle Malaysia some time back. But the rakyat gave them the Middle Finger instead. We’ll whack them hard every time they come out with the subversive slogan “Malaysian Malaysia” and the also subversive slogan “Middle Malaysia” where it implies wanting equality without acknowledging the Malay and the Bumiputera Special Position.

Very few Malays with the education to counter the subversives in the 1960s. But, thanks to the NEP, many Malays and Bumiputeras of Sabah and Sarawak now have the education and the means to respond to their unreasonable words and deeds. Lim Guan Eng and the others must be told to behave with decency and decorum. Respect the laws – including the Peaceful Assembly Act 2012 – be responsible and fully respect the Constitution. Nothing more, nothing less.

  12. While Tunku Aziz made his parting shots to DAP, the Canadian High Commission also made a parting shot on visa applications (including for permanent stay) in KL. Canada has closed its Visa and Immigration Section here and such services are now being handled by its Singapore office. It would have been easier for the “unloyal and disgruntled fellows” to abscond this country if Canadian visas were continued to be processed here.

Cost cutting was sited as among the reasons. But one wonders if the lawlessness of Bersih blokes had anything to do with it. Perhaps less keen to give permanent stay to the kind that’d be “potential trouble makers”, including those who’d go to Canada on tourist visas and overstay, like many do to Australia. So, make it difficult for them to get visas – make them travel to S’pore.
The Commission says now about 10,000 Malaysian tourists visited Canada annually. Let’s see what happens after this. Note that they even have “Temporary resident applications or tourist visas”.

I’d urge them to give as many as possible permanent resident visas to those who don’t respect the laws and the Constitution of this country. And those who’d exploit and politicise anything they can find, go on the streets and break the laws like on 28 April. The vast empty spaces of the Canadian wilderness can accomodate all the disgruntled fellas who may have lost faith in the Malaysian system or way of life. Do give them the opportunity to help develop Canada’s outback.

    • “Temporary resident applications or tourist visas” – for quick residency in Canada, before permanent residence is approved?

Ordinary tourists don’t need visas to enter Commonwealth countries. Just walk in and hide your migrating intentions when standing in front of the Immigration counter.

If you know anybody in the country you are going, better still. Get their addresses and phone numbers, so that, if any problem with the Airport Immigration, tell them you are visiting the fella. They’ll let you in one, sure. You’ve come all the way, anyway.

That’s why so many Malaysians entered Australia without visas, then simply over-stayed, hide in the Chinatowns, protected by the System of Three Monkeys – No See, No Hear, No Talk. Melbourne is full of them. No problem, no sweat.

They can do that in Canada, too. Heck, they have been doing that for ages in UK. Many from Penang, DAP kind, who cannot tolerate even Lim Guan Eng’s ways. Many more from other parts of Malaysia where they cannot tolerate even Tunku Aziz’s ways.

They don’t like, they leave. This is a free country. No need to pay tax, only airport tax, which is always calculated together with the air fares, anyway.

China, Hong Kong and Taiwan simply won’t take these “Nanyang” or overseas Chinese fellows as permanent residents or as nationals. Even if allowed in on long-term basis, they’d be 2nd Class there – that’s perhaps why Lim Guan Eng is so sensitive about being 2nd Class, as he and his ilk put aside the fact that the Malay Special Position is expressly provided in the Constitution for which they, having been stateless in this country for over 100 years, have since Merdeka become citizens. Hong Kong was returned to China by the British in 1990 and Taiwan has been responding to the overtures by the Mainland to come back into the fold such that US no longer talks about defending Taiwan and has moved down their front line to Australia in recent times.

Chinese Premier Chou En Lai officially declared, in the early 1970s when Malaysia under Tun A Razak was considering recognizing the communist Mao Zedong China (the first in South East Asia?), that China wanted the overseas Chinese to be loyal to their countries of adoption and not think of returning to China. Then the old generation who traditionally dreamed of dying and being buried in China died out.

The later generations of Chinese in Malaysia continued to think of greener pastures elsewhere, like the British colonialists, when persuading the Malays to agree on citizenship for them, had said that they were “after all, transient” in this country. Yes, many left at/ soon after Merdeka – those who didn’t accept the Articles of the Constitution such as on the National Language and the Special Position of the Malays. But then, some 20% of them stayed behind and the DAP kind has continuously been creating problems in this country.

We need to keep telling them to respect the Constitution fully, otherwise we show them the door. Australia and Canada are huge countries having vast, undeveloped territories requiring various categories of manpower that the Chinese can fit in. Australia may still quietly practise the Colour Bar, not keen to allow in the next door Indonesian and other brown skins, but does not seem to mind the yellow skins. Even the US no longer has the Chinese Exclusion Act that banned the Chinese railway and gold digging workers from settling down, and Malaysian Chinese can perhaps get better chances of gaining the Green Card for permanent stay and citizenship compared to Malays having name and religious similarities as Bin Laden. Getting past US airport Immigration is a hassle for Malays that the Chinese don’t experience. So, the DAP kind, dozo, as the Japanese say. Or silakan, as we say.

If you think the Japanese word dozo is calling people names, you are sadly mistaken. The word means “please”, in an invitational manner.

Have you read JMD’s post fully? Or listened to Tunku Aziz speak on TV7 previously? Even a gentleman like him had to use the word biadap on Lim Guan Eng, you think it was name calling?

Are you sufficiently aware of the politics of this country? Of DAP that doesn’t seem to be respecting the Constitution for over 40 years since the party’s inception? Have you read fully the comments here about DAP and the so-called Malaysian Malaysia slogan that contributed to the race riots of 1969? Or the non-respect of the National language that they and the Dong Zong have shown? I hope you do and you’ll realize that they have been told about respect for the Constitution for over 40 years now.

For those who “genuinely respect the Federal Constitution”, of course we treat them as fellow Malaysians. For those who don’t and flagrantly flaunt that non-respect, we can’t and shouldn’t. Why should we?

    • The most detestable and extreme opposition blog I know, Malaysia Kini, at last published a defeatist, surrendering opinion by Terence Netto. Please allow me to copy it verbatim for real time impact –

      1:23PM May 19, 2012:
COMMENT The art of letting well enough alone merely requires foresight, but the art of letting bad enough alone demands clairvoyance.

That makes it a rare art indeed; therefore the DAP may be forgiven for not having mastered it.

At this stage of the saga of Tunku Abdul Aziz Tunku Ibrahim, where the just-resigned DAP vice-chairperson has giddily hopscotched from a position of dissent on party policy to denunciation of Lim Guan Eng’s supposed foibles, and, latterly, to endorsement of Prime Minister Najib Razak’s reforms, it’s best for the DAP not to fan the embers by responding to Tunku Aziz’s latest fulminations…

MY COMMENT: I don’t know the meaning of some of the words there. I hope Netto does. But I think readers get a gist of what he and Malaysia Kini are trying to say. But then again, Lim Guan Eng may not be done with his vengeance and recriminations. Personally, I don’t mind listening to them. With his kind of character, one would expect them. In fact, I’d rather welcome them. Statements that’ll add further to the examples of his uncouth and gangsterish character.

The French coined the slogan “Liberte Egalite Fraternite” during the French Revolution in 1789 but they don’t go to the streets breaking laws any more these days, not like the Bersih people did. The Americans shouted the word liberty in their Declaration of Independence many years ago, still do so now, but they also disallow marches that disturb the peace. Ever heard of the Patriot Act which they enacted after the Nine Eleven destruction of the New York Twin Towers? Many complained of the severe curtailment of civil liberties, freedom of movement etc there, yet they keep the law and enforce it.

Malaysia passed the Peaceful Assembly Act which came into force on 23 April 2012, yet the Bersih blokes broke that law. Read about Anwar and Azmin Ali being charged in court as a result of it? What liberty are you talking about, Mister, when you break laws?

Saya fikir sebab mereka selalu huru hara sejarahnya.

Why, cannot argue any more? No more arguments ha? If so, just say we all are right and you all will follow the Constitution or will apply take a flight to Australia or Canada one way lah.

Pssst, buy 2-way ticket otherwise they won’t allow you in as tourist lorr. Then when you get in, you sell the unused ticket mah. Then you no worry about what Tunk Aziz said, right or not?

Talipon mereka dulu, kalau dah nak mati.. lemas.. tenggelam.. terbakar baru talipon mereka. Kalau ikutkan hati memang di lepuk si sape nama dia Adun Bayan Baru tu.. nama pun saya dah tak ingat. Adun tahi kucing betul.. LGE pun tak akan turun tgk banjir.. katanya ada jawatankuasa bencana alam punya kerja… .. bila dekat pilihanraya, baru singsing seluar kononnya melawat mangsa banjir tu pun bila air dah surut ke tapak kaki. Kasi satu penapak kaki kat muka baru tau..

Semua sama.. bila belum berkuasa.. bulan bintang.. malah matahari pun akan dijanjikan.. bila dah berkuasa….hmmmmmm…..
